The men play a tie-break for the semi!

A script that can't be invented, but which delivers heart attacks and makes you turn your head away at times and wait for the audience's reaction. That's what some curling matches tend to be. And there were several of them today at Moscow's Megasport hall. Although there are few spectators for the men's round (because the Russians are playing in a B-ring arena), it is pleasantly warm - up to about 17 degrees. The match against Italy might have seemed relatively easy based on the teams' position in the table, but the Italians can bite and play well. Until the seventh end, and actually until the eighth end, it was not ideal for us, but then Jirka played all his stones better than Joel and especially the Czech team showed better nerves. After winning the match we could see the exhaustion and fatigue, but we all watched how the Germans and Swiss would play. In the extra end, after an incredible triple takeout, the Swiss won, and that sent us into a tie-break against the Germans. At 8:00 local time, the Scots will also play the Swiss. The winners of those games will face off for one, fourth place in the semi-finals.
