Men with Norwegians, women with Koreans.

Last night's men's game against the Norwegians was played quite cautiously from both sides except for two ends in which each team scored a three. Both ours and the Norse had several more chances to score a deuce, but none were taken. The match therefore went into the tenth end with the Norwegians having the advantage at 4 : 4. The hopeless play had an epilogue in the form of our stone, which was slightly longer than the Norwegians' stone on the tee line. We did have a chance to try Plan B, but the communication was not perfect and the Norwegians won the match by inches. A decent team performance was not crowned with victory. Still, the situation is promising for the Czechs. The women took on the Koreans in the morning game. The second Asian opponent in the standings didn't suit us either. The Koreans built an early lead (5-1) and although we refined our game and created good chances, we could not play without an advantage. Luck was also not on our side. An attempt to double on the winning stone without advantage failed by millimetres and our opponent finished us off in the eighth end. The women need to win their remaining matches to keep their semi-final hopes alive, at least from the tie-break. The men go to the Swedes in a few minutes.
