16.04.2020,

We are planning the Nymburk standard for the summer.

While planning a summer camp at the Nymburk Sports Center (where else?) I came across some photos in the relevant folder of my computer. The photos show that they have been successfully playing curling for a decade, representing the Czech Republic and even bringing medals to curlers and curlers who have gone through summer camps. What's more, they are an inspiration for the upcoming generation, today's young curling players. Our annual camps are all about improving physical fitness, but not only that. Through swimming, ball and racquet sports, as well as gyms, technogyms and testing of sports disciplines less usual for us, we also get to communication, training of concentration procedures, tactics and psychology of sport. Nymburk has always offered us something extra, and that is meeting with our athletic national team top athletes, including Olympic medalists, top athletes from fields such as archery, basketball, handball, etc. Even some of the less usual groups find regular refuge in the Nymburk venue. It is, for example, a preparatory seminar for football umpires, who train endurance, agility, strength, but also communication, checking their knowledge of the rules and ability to deal with difficult situations. Just like us. In the gallery there are some photos from past camps and I doubt that any of the participants would say that the Nymburk preparatory camp is a useless activity that does not bring anything useful. I am looking forward to our July date and I believe that nothing will spoil it for us.
