The Basel tournament system includes a final tally of results across groups with an added criterion called LSD, or more accurately DSC. The top eight qualify for the extra stage. In the morning matches both Czech national teams lost, the B team to the young Norwegians and the A team to the Italians (Constantini). Since both Czech teams have already two losses each, the chances of advancing to the quarterfinals are negligible. Nevertheless, the afternoon matches brought some interesting moments, unusual game practices and one win. Along with that, it was a confirmation that the results of neither of the Czech teams are enough for the play-offs in this year's Basel tournament. The team playing under the name Synáčková, but skipped by Linda Nemčoková, defeated the Swiss team led by the younger of the Schwaller sisters in the final match. The match between Zelingrova and Heretier had an unusual course. After a bad series, in which the opponent scored eight points in a row thanks to two "spades", the four Czechs came in and we went into the last two ends two down without an advantage. In the seventh end we created a chance for another "steal", even two points, but the Swiss held the situation thanks to a last-minute one. In the eighth end, Bětka played a double on three and thus an extra end, but only one stone left the rings and the sensation did not take place. Although it was not possible to follow up last year's quarter-final, this year's tournament fulfilled its purpose as part of the preparation for the 2024 European Championships. In addition, the weather was great.
