A challenging prospect.
Today's programme started with a duel between the Czech and Finnish women. After that, there were three more rounds. First, the Czech men needed a draw of less than 4 feet in the extra end against the Germans. It was done and the third win in a row puts the Czech team in the semi-finals. The third match of our women pitted a traditional opponent against us, the Hungarians. After a confident opening, the course was a bit more even and in two cases we had to rely on the good nerves of our skip. Linda in particular played a magnificent draw against the opponent's five. In a slightly nervous ending we confirmed our better quality. The result was 8 : 5. In the evening match our men lost to the better playing Swedes. Tomorrow the women start against the Scots at 9:00.
