The problems with transport to the stadium are escalating. For the second time the car didn't arrive at the agreed time and before the second game today we even had to arrange a taxi to get to the arena. At the same time, however, a group of Russian chauffeurs are standing in front of the arena and smoking. Even the Russian volunteers say the drivers are lazy and unhelpful. At 13.00, the reigning world champions Muller and Shori from Switzerland were waiting for us. They played well, we only had moments, and they were not enough to match the precise play of our opponents. After six ends we shook hands, we couldn't win an end. The second match of the day went in favour of the opposing team until the break, when we had difficulty defending a possible five of the opponent in the fourth end (in the end only for two). In the fifth we scored four after an improved performance. We went into the last end one up with no advantage. The first stone (KK) unfortunately didn't come, yet with our last stone we still moved one of the pair of best Zealand stones to the worse to go into the extra end (we would have had a very good second stone there), but it fell short by a small margin. The result is 7 : 8. So the situation is that we are third in the group, but we have to confirm this position tomorrow by winning against the better of the pair Denmark, Austria - I predict the Danes, who today embarrassed the Swiss. We'll see, I don't want to make any predictions.
