Inverse proportionality.

Commensurability is one of the most common functional dependencies in normal life. It means that, for example, if we want a higher quality of a good, we will pay more for it than if we settle for an average or below-average quality. The same should be true for services. We rarely manage to get a good deal on proportionality and have a bargain. However, it sometimes happens that we encounter inverse proportionality, i.e. we invest a lot and get little. This is certainly a sad moment worthy of reflection. The Czech national curling teams have gained comfort in the past year in the form of a broad-based implementation team (national coach, national coordinator, national manager), which, under the supervision of the executive committee and with the input of other outsiders, ensures that the players and coaches do not have to waste their time on unproductive activities and can concentrate all their efforts on preparation and sporting performance. It is certainly fair and right to pay more money for more comfort. This is the principle of direct proportionality. And Czech curling makes sure that no one is cheated or shortchanged in this area. However, it seems that the quality, scope and frequency of the outputs provided by the aforementioned implementation team to the players and coaches have been somewhat forgotten. Timely and complete information about the processes taking place, respect and perception of the life situations of individual players, the association's effort not to burden individual teams with unnecessary and confusing things are attributes that should belong to the basis of the announced higher quality of service. Some teams have had the status of national teams for more than four months in accordance with the current regulations, others for a slightly shorter period of time, but the signing of national contracts has not yet taken place (in previous years this has happened within three weeks of the end of the final matches). There are also no draft contract terms for coaches and players, team budgets are not known, and due to these circumstances it is not even clear whether it will be possible to implement training and preparation plans under the set conditions, which most teams have already developed and whose content is being implemented in a kind of provisional mode, even with the risk that some costs and orders will not be reimbursed by the federation. All this in a season that is crucial for possible participation in the Winter Olympics. Someone might argue that it is the holidays and vacations and therefore it is not possible to expect everything to go smoothly, or someone might mention that there was no information available from the National Sports Agency. However, this does not hold up. May and June were long enough months for all concerned to know where they stood and to have full information. We are witnessing an inverse relationship. More people consuming more money does not mean a higher quality of service provided.
