During the match between Scotland (D. Murdoch) and Czechs (J. Snitil), I was wondering what was different than usual. Then it dawned on me. No more "Scottish fans in the stands." There are no Scottish fans here and the atmosphere suffers a bit. All that's left is the biased cheering of nationalistic Russians at Russian women's games. The Scots do not have a positive record with our national team from the last championships and today's game confirmed that they simply do not have the recipe for the Brno team. The Scottish skip missed an open take out in the seventh end and offered the Czechs a deuce. In the next end Jirka played a brilliant little shift of the Scottish stone in a very dangerous situation, which could have resulted in a Scottish three. In the end Murdoch didn't even get a two and in the last end, the ninth end, the Czechs were more accurate than their opponent and scored a three. A win that raises the value of Czech shares visibly higher. The important match between the Czechs (L. Klimova) and the Latvians was surprisingly easy and fast. After three ends 7 : 1 and clueless Latvians even started to knit rotations. After six ends, 10 : 1 and the Czech women's hopes for participation in the World Championship are growing. Congratulations to both teams!
