Opening of sports grounds.

Professional athletes have the opportunity to become active again. Not only competitions, but also training in halls and gyms can be carried out in compliance with the set safety measures. However, without a professional licence this is not possible. For example, youth players cannot train with or without their professional colleagues (e.g. football players) because they have amateur status. The National Sports Agency has carved out this selective exemption, but at the same time communicates that it is not possible to open sports facilities for youth and children in the current situation because circumstances do not allow it. The Czech Chamber of Fitness, through its president Jana Havrdová, does not directly oppose this procedure, but it is quite clear that the statistical data show that closed sports facilities used by the public do not show any significant long-term figures that would confirm their riskiness. It presents an elaborate plan that defines measures to ensure maximum protection for athletes. And it adds a logical argument, which is the need to keep the population in good shape to counter illness, stress and depression. On the one hand, it is certainly tricky to grant more and more exemptions for selected groups of the population, but on the other hand, simple logic must be perceived. An example of another possible exemption, apart from fitness, could be curling. A non-contact sport. A limited number of athletes, for example national team members preparing for the World Championships or the Olympic Games, move around in a large indoor, well-ventilated space, with no access to changing rooms or club facilities. If basic hygiene rules are followed, the risk of infection is virtually zero. Dealing with exceptions, assessing their justification and monitoring their compliance is difficult and perhaps impossible under a state of emergency. However, the risk of devastation to important values held by active people of all ages, such as sport, physical activity and maintaining personal fitness, both physical and mental, must be perceived. The National Sports Agency does not yet see a way to help amateur athletes and young people, and the losses caused to associations, clubs and operators of sports facilities are being recorded, according to NSA spokesman Jakub Večerka.
