First, Canada took bronze. Despite their best efforts, the Norwegians could not keep up with the relentless pressure exerted by Dion's team. Men's final. The Americans had the upper hand for most of the match. Their only minor problem was the Swedes' game one advantage in the seventh end. Especially at the end, the Swedish skip could not maintain the high standard of play so far and made several errors. The match ended with an excellent triple take out by the American skip and then only joy and a ceremony where bronze medals were awarded to both Canadian and silver medals to both Swedish teams. The hour-long closing ceremony was accompanied by, among other things, the local anthem in an a capella version. The Czech team will take away from Ostersund, besides the exchanged T-shirts and jerseys, also new experiences and certainly the vigour for further work.
