The first game we played against Horton in Oakville didn't go our way, so we were banking on the one in Kitchener today. We didn't get the advantage on lane six and after mistakes on both sides we cashed in a deuce. In the second, we could only manage to get a one. In the third end we played a game around the centre guard, but in the end our opponent pushed back with a bit of luck and scored five points. That woke us up and made us healthily angry. We came back to within one stone with a three and then a two after a one by our opponents. The final end was exciting with good chances, but in the end the skip of the Canadians played a draw on the tee line and we didn't convert. So for the second time we lose to a team that has the daughter of the phenomenal Glen Howard at number three. While we are disappointed to lose, we know we can dig in and scratch a hopeful win out of a bad run. In the evening, we took a walk to a local park where a big event is planned for tomorrow with lots of attractions. We'll probably miss it completely, as we have two games against Canadian teams coming up. The first one in the morning at eight o'clock. photo: original curling bike holder
