Sokol Liboc 1M is playing the CSC Cup 2017 with a new line-up.
The team Sokol Liboc 1 M entered the new season with a new player. Jirka deserves thanks from the whole team for the years played (six in total) and for the successes achieved in cooperation with him. The biggest ones are probably winning the championship title in the men's category in the 2015/2016 season and winning the CCT series tournament in Edinburgh, Scotland (2016). The Libock team used this year's Czech Curling Federation Cup to play. Although we all know each other well from the many training sessions we have attended together, the truth is that the skip of the team, Karel Kubeska, mostly functioned as a coach and not as a teammate. Despite some minor communication miscommunication and imperfectly coordinated technique, we played a very good tournament. We advanced from the first place in the group, in the quarterfinals we defeated the silver medalists from the last WC, in the semifinals we defeated the bronze medalists from the same championship and only in the final we succumbed to the enthusiastic Youg Boys Dion team. The final match was not of a very high quality, but the opponent played better in the second half and that earned them a narrow victory. Congratulations to the champions and we are quite pleased ourselves. Moreover, we know what to work on.
