An on-ice meeting with the Swedish team Hasselborg is always a great celebration and at the same time a challenge. Monday morning's round put us right in front of the task of beating the Swedes. We didn't get the advantage for ourselves in the pre-match training, so we faced an open game from the northerners in the beginning. After the first, zero end, we let the Swedes score twice in three and in the very next end we again defied several points from our opponent. Betsy pulled out a great draw and for the moment we resisted. However, the end was approaching and we had no room to correct the result significantly. The win 8 : 1 belongs to the favourites. From two, for the umpteenth time, the Germans. Daniella Jentsch and her teammates are the traditional opponent of our women. The duel was a bit messy. The Germans had several opportunities to score more points, but we managed to resist until we even got a 4 : 2 lead after the sixth end. After that, only the German team scored. We missed a few small pieces, especially in the eighth end when we could have gone up by three points. But you don't play on "ifs" and so far we have only one win and four losses. Tomorrow night the rocks will be papered, so hopefully that will bring us luck.
