Preparation in Astorville.

photo: Astorville club Wednesday was again a training day. This time we chose the smaller, two-track local club Astorville for our training. The email communication with Paul Mariere was flawless and everything worked out to an asterisk. First a ninety minute practice session on both lanes, then a great lunch break with an invitation to lunch at the Marier's house. Outside the window, titmice at the feeders, a frozen lake, very good home-cooked food and witty conversation. In the afternoon we played two small games and again gave away dozens of photos and a few jerseys. The local club is small, but it is part of a complex that is remotely similar in size to the future Ice Sports Complex. The school is right next to the parking lot. We are waiting for Eva (physio) who had a minor irregularity regarding the ETA form (simplified and most importantly secured entry into Canada). She will be arriving tonight and that will complete us. Tomorrow we will train again in Astorville and then it will start slowly.
