We started with breakfast, slightly Turkish style, but coffee, scrambled eggs, vegetables, cheese, they are almost like Europe. Some of us then went to the hall, especially the boys, to see the last preparations before the tournament. The Icemakers (Joe and Jurgen) told us that the ice may not be newly made, but it should be ok. Well, we'll see, we'll be surprised. It feels like the Universiade is a scaled down Olympics already by a lot of safety regulations. But we've already got our accreditation (with barcode) and raised our national flags along with the Russians, Belarusians and Slovenians. We are looking forward to the ice and will write tomorrow how it goes. All the best to everyone back home. photo: expedition
