The first game is with the home team.
We played our first game against the home curlers, led by experienced skip Mustapich. The match was very evenly matched. In the third end there was a curious situation when a player of the home team fell while throwing and just before the rings he shifted the path of his own stone so that he got into a position where he could not normally be and in addition our stone was knocked out. However, when asked directly, he replied that he did not touch the stone, which was immediately confirmed by his teammates and the umpire, who were not watching our path at that moment. After nine ends we were leading by a stone and the advantage was with the opponent. Our attempt to move the stone to win failed, and so Zdeněk Krampera's debut ended in defeat. The team's performance was not bad, the even match was even a bit of a surprise. Too bad the victory was not far away.
