The Russian team, most of whose players represented their country at the Sochi Olympics, took on our academic team. The team captain, Christopher, took a time out and the match was skipped by Jakub on a three with Martin. We let the Russians into an easy 0 : 6 lead and only after the break, when the opponent loosened up a bit, we played two very nice ends and played another one decently. But a draw error offered the Russians a three-all and that was the end of the match. So the score is 2 wins and 4 losses. The last third of the tournament features the USA, Switzerland and Sweden. We would like to add at least two more wins.
