Scotland, this time against Hannah Fleming.

I remember Hannah especially from the final match of our junior national team at the World Championships in Sweden, where she played the winning shot in the extra end and took the gold medal. While she has been overshadowed by Eve Muirhead's team in recent years, it is a team that has considerable international experience and beat Eve in qualifying this year. We apparently got cocky in that frantic sixth end against China yesterday and played an offensive game in the first end, which seemed to catch the Scots a bit off guard. The four we registered was a nice way to enter the game. Sometimes the problem with the development of a match is that the lead comes too early, which changes the team's setup tactically and mentally. We went two up in the next end, but in the next one, after a great tap by Fleming, we got three up and for a while it looked like the match would slowly even out. However, we managed to take advantage of some mistakes by our opponent and thanks to an extraordinary performance by Anna, we forced the Scots to give us a hand after the seventh end, at 11-4.
