Friday gave the Czech men only one opponent, the eleven-year-old Slovenes with a twelve-year-old skip. They came to Lohja obviously for the experience and set goals appropriate to their performance. We learned this from an interview with the coach of the Slovenian team, how else but the father of one of the players. We took advantage of today's less than full schedule for a longer sleep and a quiet relaxed breakfast. We had our meeting in the main building this time, and the discussion revolved mainly around optimizing our pre-match training. Jakub Matějíček started the game at number one. The match ended with a 19-1 win after six ends, but more important than the result was the opportunity to practice weight and speed estimations along with other game elements. Tomorrow we have a more demanding schedule, Spain in the morning and then the Australians in the afternoon. The photo is from the start of the game against the Slovenians.
