Trying is not enough!

The first two games scheduled for Sunday were played with full commitment and maximum effort. Nevertheless, after a mediocre performance, we lost them, and even significantly to the German team. With few exceptions, we couldn't get into pressure, we struggled a bit with offsets and guessing. The match against the Swiss had one turning point when, after a well played deuce which we levelled at 2 : 2, we stood at one against but did not play guard, thus letting our opponents into a deuce which led Manuel Ruch's team to victory. We received a special commendation from the head umpire for fair play, as we gave the Swiss the advantage of the last stone, even though their hilarious draw shot - not yet measured - was cleared by the icemaker's assistant, thinking the stone had already been measured. Tomorrow we face Canada, with one win and one loss so far. Switzerland - Czech Republic, 6 : 3, Germany - Czech Republic, 7 : 0
