Competition season
The curling competition season has started in earnest in September. The first part of the national mixed doubles championship took place in the Czech Republic, several foreign teams came to Prague, the first tournament was played, but from the point of view of the national teams, the most important things are happening at foreign competitions. The Czech women traveled to Switzerland to play an international tournament, which is attended by a number of teams from eight countries, including the national ones. The Czech women were given the British team led by Eve Muirhead as their opponents to start and the Swiss team of the Hurlimann sisters in the very next round. We were getting used to different ice conditions than we are used to and several times we narrowly missed a promising ending. So after the first day, two losses.
