Housing on a Swiss farm is an absolute idyll, plus it's barely a ten-minute drive to the hall. The approach is a little tricky, along a tarmac path that barely accommodates a normal car, but after completing the steep ascent, the reward is the sight of healthy-looking cattle grazing in the valley. The house is spacious, well equipped and we can watch the opening game of the Rugby World Cup in the evening in peace and comfort. Tonight's junior national team programme included two matches, both against Swiss opponents. The first, against Team Caccivio, swung in our favour before the break when we took a four point lead. We then managed some tough moments and eventually won convincingly. The duel with Team Jermann was marred by a delayed start due to additional ice treatment, but we didn't let it faze us and in the end we didn't give our opponent an end. The highlight was a classic "pasta party" that provided us with a sumptuous dinner. We also watched the performances of other Czech teams, where the Matějíček team got their first win in the tournament collection. Tomorrow we start early and finish the Round Robin with the last game shortly after noon.
