Tough fight with France.

We've adjusted our pre-match training a bit to give us more time to prepare the LSD (last stone draw). Still, we didn't gain an advantage with the French (by 0,3 cm). The start was disastrous and Jirka rightly held his head. I was unable to hit the circle with the first stone in the first three ends. It's a fact that the ice is fast (about 14.4 - 14.6 now), but that doesn't excuse me a damn bit. I was in a crisis. In the first end, even Annie couldn't hold it, and we only got a three because Wilfried didn't throw a split. Gradually, we started to throw something. The sixth end was important, and we took the lead for the first time. We let W. Coulot draw or eject the stone against our deuce and the Frenchman didn't choose well. We took it for two. In the seventh we played it to their one, and in the eighth, with the game tied, we didn't let the defensive get the better of us and piled up stones in the circles until it finally worked. We are happy that we were able to come back in the game (0:3 and 2:5) and then win it. Thank you for your direct support via texts and emails!
