Thun 09. Czech teams did not advance to the semi-finals.

The girls' and boys' national teams included the traditional junior tournament in Thun, Switzerland, in their preparation. This year the tournament had a new format. Its inclusion in the WCTe-J series, actually in the CCT juniors, ensured both teams 5 matches in the group. The competition was very good: the Scots, the Swiss, the Germans, the Italians, the French in both categories and in addition the Norwegians. The Czech teams recorded two wins in the groups, which was not enough to advance further. The girls were more disappointing as their ambitions were definitely higher and the close losses were disappointing. The boys were getting used to the modified game format and their performance increased slightly. Both teams still have a lot of work to do before their peak season.
