The last weekend in November is traditionally marked by a three-day preparatory tournament in the picturesque Swiss town of Thun. Last year's tournament was successful for the girls' selection, this year's was better for the boys. The girls (Kubešková, Klímová, Plíšková, Jalovcová, Strnadová, coach Candra) did not make it to the quarter-finals and after a close and somewhat unfortunate loss to the French, they just walked away with the final match. The boys' team (Chaloupek, Klíma, Paul, Jirounek, Deyl, coach Kubeška) had a complication in the form of health problems of Lukáš Klíma, who was unable to play any matches, but still advanced to the quarterfinals, where two losses and one win meant seventh place. A successful tournament was played by the Savona 5 team who finished fourth overall. Both national teams did well in the tournament, but still have to continue the training process in preparation for the European qualifiers, focusing on specific game situations. In the final, the Germans lost to the Swiss.
