Waking up early in the morning in the rain is not the way to go. I wonder who's lucky it's raining? We handled the LSD perfectly (Anna throws) and therefore had the advantage in the first end. The pitching was very good. Japan's Ohno had to throw a heavy take out with his last stone and it was almost impossible for him. Although our two stones in the ring, but Japan's best behind one of ours. I missed the runback (it wasn't hard) exactly and it's one nil to Japan. The match only started to get better for us from the fourth end. I only threw the opening stones well and the last ones never really worked out, but Annie played well at this stage and gradually we took two deuces from our opponents and went 5 : 2 up. The Japanese turned the lineup around. The seventh end was crucial. Our penultimate stone landed so unluckily that it offered Ohno a double to keep four well-placed stones in the ring. My draw ended at the beginning of the rings and we were suddenly down 5 to 7. In the last end the Japanese played the opening freeze at 100%, then we subsequently knocked the guard against the paper. The final sixth take out (double runback), with which we fought for the etra end, only licked the Japanese stone, but did not dislodge it as it should have. The loss is a tough one for us, the game was well played and the win was within reach. The Japanese played well and just had to take advantage of the mistakes I usually made. I'm waiting to see what the coach will tell me.
