Three games played on the third day.

Of the match triptych that the organisers have prepared for us for Friday, the first on the wallpaper was the Scottish team with skipper Morrison. The C course contained no unexpected surprises as it did on the B course where drops from the ceiling set a tricky trap that we got caught in yesterday. The Scots played focused and very accurate for most of the game. We were in the lead after four ends, but the crucial sixth end was played better by the opposition and they pulled away by three points. In the end, we weren't precise enough to pull off the upset. The next Scottish team to travel through the tournament was the senior rep with Jackie Lockhart. After an improved performance, we won but had no time at all for a team meeting, no time to rest and hardly any time for the vegetable soup on offer at the local club restaurant. Next up we were met by a team unknown to us, Laigh. However, it turned out to be a relatively weak opponent. After six ends and a score of 1 : 8, our opponents congratulated us, and that was the end of this year's Perth Masters for us. The technical conditions this year were worse than we were used to from previous years. But the atmosphere of the tournament is great and there are many important and interesting people here. It was nice to meet Olympic champion Eva Muirhead, her dad, the former successful representative Gordon, and there were interesting discussions with the manager of the local club, the head icemaker and Pete Loudon, the tournament director. There were also very inspiring conversations with Tom Brewster, manager of the Aberdeen Curling Club, Rob Niven, WCF board member, and Richard Harding (WCF and Greenacres Curling Club). Scotland is a curling country.
