The Baudyšová Team.

Summer is slowly coming to an end, and all winter sports are gearing up for the start of the new, post-Olympic season. The Curling Association opened its hall on August 17, and in addition to recreational players and the general public, national teams in all categories were also training there. The women’s national team will be known as “Team Baudyšová” for the upcoming season, because longtime skip Anna Kubešková has announced the end of her active playing career, and her longtime teammate, vice-skip, and alternate skip Alžběta Zelingrová is currently on maternity leave. The five-member team, which is diligently preparing for its national team duties, traveled today to Oslo, Norway, for the traditional preparatory tournament in the Nordic Tour series, the Oslo Cup Women 2026. This year, the tournament is being held on home ice at the two-sheet Bygdøy Club. Wednesday evening’s practice revealed that the ice is very well prepared; its parameters meet all requirements and, combined with well-maintained stones, create ideal conditions for the participating teams. Michaela Baudyšová, Aneta Müllernová, Karolína Špundová, Matylda Volfová, and Emma Seifriedová will take the ice for their first match tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. On the second lane, they will face the Swiss team (Müller).
