Today at 14.00 our first match at the Winter Universiade 2015. The opponent is traditional - Great Britain, i.e. the Scots. Namely Kyle Smith, Thomas Muirhead and others. We watched the girls for a while before the game. The Russians and Swedes seem to be in good form. Our duel started with the advantage for the first end. In it, we scored a deuce straight away and then forced the Scots into a one. After that, we stuttered a bit and didn't pick up the pace until the last third of the game. A single in the ninth, a stolen base in the tenth and a steal in the extra end. Winning by about 2 - 3 inches is worth a lot to us. A good start to the tournament is nice, but don't overestimate it. We could have lost. Honza played very well, Jakub did well, Martin threw the rock of the match and Kryštof made the right call at the right moment. Now we had "Pepa Hnatek's last game" - for inspiration of sports terminology and after the training we will go together for an evening beer to our home pub, which is about 10 meters from the hotel. The Czech flag is already hanging there and the barmaid is bragging to the regulars that she knows us.
