The Czech curling teams are the most valuable marketing asset our association has. At the same time, they are a reflection of the long-term efforts of players, clubs, coaches, implementation teams, team sponsors and supporters. It should be emphasized here that after the Czech men managed to advance to Group A of the European Championships after several unsuccessful attempts, Mr. and Mrs. Paul won the first ever participation of Czech curling in the Olympic Games. Four years ago, Zuzana and Tomas were one stone away from qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Now they have done it, and for their efforts, determination and work they deserve congratulations and a big thank you. The vast majority of our current representatives come from successful junior teams that have played Group A World Championships repeatedly in the past, so it is clear to see where they need to stretch themselves. The junior as well as the academy teams need systematic care set and monitored by the association to bring back the successes achieved by the young players a decade ago. To manage this should be one of the main tasks for the next four years.
