We were expecting a Swiss-style game, based on good technique and not very imaginative, but sophisticated tactics. However, when we took a 3-0 lead after a mistake by the Swiss skip Hess, the game fell apart for the Helvetic Cross representatives. With the exception of the ninth end, in which Coach Schmit's charges messed with our heads a bit, they couldn't do anything and finally congratulated us on the victory after a deuce that increased the lead to a five-point difference. The quality of our play was decent and promising at the same time. However, we must not slacken our concentration, there is still a long way to the semi-finals paved with good opponents.
