Win the tournament.
We've always told ourselves that it's not easy to win a tournament, no matter how well staffed. The Czech women chose the preparatory camp combined with an indoor tournament in Zemst, Belgium, partly because the game load and testing of skills in tournaments and competitions was missing from last year. A total of six games meant six wins, including a victory over the Belgian men's national team. We enjoyed a very nicely organised "bonspiel", with the added information that Zemst is seeking to host competitions from the CCT series, both in the men's and women's categories. Many of the players present expressed their admiration for the Roztyl curling hall, where they had attended the traditional camp for adult curlers in previous years. We were delighted with the triumph, it boosted our confidence and set us up well for the season ahead, which is going to be an extremely busy one. A few days of rest on home ice and then up to the next event, this time in St Petersburg (subject to visas, flights and accommodation).
