Our two-week stay, which began with a fairly uneventful flight to Moscow, followed by a somewhat adrenaline-filled layover at Sheremetyevo Airport, ended with our arrival in Sochi after 11 p.m. local time. Accommodation is quite ok. Ice is , meals too. The hall is nice, but in the middle of a construction site. It takes sometimes 15 minutes to get there, sometimes 50 minutes. Yesterday's training was fine. Ice is 14.5. Swing is about 5 feet. Now we are sitting on the coach bench watching the Czech Republic - USA (men) game and after the first end the score is 1 : 0 for the USA. The girls have a half hour practice this afternoon and their portion of the tournament doesn't start until tomorrow morning. The time difference here is 3 hours, so our days start with breakfast at 3:30am our time. WIFI is good quality in the hall and variable in our "sanatorium" Yuzhnoye Vzmorie". We are using our broken Russian more and more (Iveta speaks Russian normally) and it works quite well.
