Preparation for the 2009 World Championships in Vancouver begins.

The official part of the EJCC 2009 ended with the announcement of the advancing teams and the final, somewhat confused speech (he announced the Italians instead of the French as the advancing team and an awkward silence spread through the hall) of the otherwise very nice president of the Danish Curling Association and WCF board member Niels Larsen. At this point, the teams are still having fun at the closing party at the bowling club, but the implementation teams of the advancing associations know that there is not much time to prepare the teams, not to mention the organizational issues. The WJC takes place from 5 to 15 March 2009 and the venue is Vancouver, the Olympic city that will host the 2010 Winter Games. Always before the Olympics, the MSJ is placed in the venue of the future Games as a so-called test event. The entire team returns to Prague tomorrow morning.
