rnThe past three days were a mix of curling sessions, leisure activities and keeping fit at the local Fitness. We also included a tour of the Hall of Fame - Ice Hockey near St. Cathrine Market in downtown Toronto. Downtown is impressive, lots of high-rises, but also a row of condominiums with balconies located right off the highway, where tens of thousands of cars pass back and forth in fourteen lanes daily. We bought sushi for lunch. The price is very reasonable, the quality is very good and everything is obviously fresh. We buy a few souvenirs and are amazed at the offer of a toilet golf set for $30 (a putt set to be installed around the toilet bowl so that one can practice the ability to accurately and sensitively move the golf ball to the right place while sitting down!!!). At Oakville Hall, we marvel at the ice, which exhibits constant speed, regular spin and unexpected endurance. Everyone trains here - Germans, Italians, Scots, Danes, Russians and lots of Canadians (of course). We've been watching the Curling Grand Slam on TV in our spare time since today. Now the live coverage of Gushue versus Koe, arguably the two best teams in the world today, is just starting. We're expecting a real treat.
