The golden women played against the Latvians.
Early afternoon final duel of Group B of the women's category of the European Curling Championships pitted Czech and Italian women against each other. Italy won in the morning match against the Hungarians (7 : 6). The beginning was good, but then we made some mistakes, we got a bit nervous and the Italians caught up. They took the lead 6 : 3 and it didn't look good for us. The turning point came in the seventh end, when we made perfect use of the pressure we created and scored for the second time in the championship with a six, which we confirmed in the ninth end with a five and that was too much for the Italians. WE GOT THE GOLD!! But it's all in a hurry, in two hours we had a training session in the A hall before the match with the Latvians. The winner of the B group plays the eighth team from the A group for the World Championship. The game started at 8 o'clock and we tried to make it a nice follow-up. Already in the first third of the game we gained a slight advantage and then the girls just kept the lead. In the end we won 7 : 4 and we continue back in Monthey tomorrow morning.
