It's a bit of a cry, but we do have a completely free day after which we have three games in a row. The fixture schedule hasn't really gone well this year, although it has to be said that the circumstances have been unusual. Not only the cancellation of the original championship date, but also the expansion of the starting field by one team to a total of fourteen, the positive tests by members of the TV crew that resulted in the cancellation of one game, and the legitimate desire to keep everything under control and not let the athletes get sick. Quite sadly, we became the only participant to pay for the changes with an unprecedented charge at the very end of the tournament - see the ironically-intended text in the sports section of my profile pages: here. We used the time off mainly to regenerate. We agreed on certain steps, which we implemented immediately afterwards. Here I want to thank Mark Vydra for his quick response to our appeal in the form of a lightning-fast letter to WCF asking for a solution to an unprecedented situation. In the afternoon we closed everything for ourselves and started to concentrate on tomorrow's marathon. I was still communicating indignantly with the organizing committee, but more so to prevent such things from happening again in the future. In the evening we had training sessions on each lane, we checked the functionality of the respective sets of stones and I still had a debate with the umpire, who reproached me for wearing a face mask with "not fair" written on it. In agreement with the team, I chose it as a subtle form of pointing out the unfairness that the Czech team had received (see photo).
