Maybe a few words about Saturday. In the evening we went to the training with Ežen and we had a peek into the B hall where our boys played against the Turks. I knew from the scoreboard that after four ends the Czechs were leading 5 : 0. Everything seemed to be bathed in sunshine. And when we peeked in to say hello to Sam, our team still had a decent lead. When we were coming back from the training after three quarters of an hour we met Jindra and Jirka and on the score board we saw that the match ended in the extra end with our win. The boys complained about the ice, which had completely lost its clarity. The game was settled and the extra end had to be decided. The important thing is to win against the ever-improving Turks. Overall, 2 wins and no losses. At night it snowed and we got up around 6:30 for the morning game against the Hungarians. We gained an advantage in practice and played a nice first end. Zero failed, so the Hungarians tried to play something. A miscommunicated stone at the end of the end offered the opponent an opportunity to score more points and Palancza eventually made a four. We responded with only one, but then stole one and then even two. The tenth end was evenly matched, with the Czech advantage. The measurements decided everything and we were a little bit further from the middle. A bitter loss after a fighting performance. Germany (Jentsch) awaits us tonight.
